Statement of strong (not continued) interest

I plan on applying to a few T14 schools, but CU is my first choice. How long should a statement of strong interest be?

I guess it depends on what you have to say, but I'd think more than a page would be pretty excessive. A paragraph or couple sentences could even suffice.

Is including a diversity statement and statement of strong interest to much? I'm under the impression that I should send a diversity statement to every school.

It's too much if you're sending it just to send it. If you have something to say in each essay, then it's not too much. In any case, more likely to help than hurt.
