I'm extremely up in the air about adding an addendum for my 151 LSAT score. I've only taken the LSAT once (02/2011) but was registered to take it again in February 2012. Due to a myriad of events (parent's death, court battle, etc.), I didn't. My original score was low due to working in almost nonstop in a 24/7 operation center. Is this worth adding an addendum for or not? I would rather leave it alone then sound like I'm full of excuses. Any thoughts?

An addendum for one score isn't going to sway anyone. You could say ANYTHING ("I was PTing at 180 until I was mauled by a cougar, I swear!") but there's nothing to support it. You could include the addendum to make yourself feel better, but don't expect it to have any effect.

The best "addendum" for a crappy LSAT score is to retake and score higher. Then you have something to legitimately point to.

I could submit proof, i.e. death certs, court papers, etc., but really don't want to if it won't make a difference. Just retake in June .

When you do have a higher score, you can certainly include an addendum for the lower score, explaining it with work, and explaining the cancel with your parent's death (condolences, btw). A second, higher score gives these explanations much more credibility. Schools will pretty much just look at the higher score anyway, but being able to legitimately explain away the lower one can't hurt. Paperwork for proof won't be neccessary.

Don't waste your time on an addendum. Just retake. If there's a big difference in scores, it won't take more than 3-4 sentences to convince adcomms to ignore the first one.

Please don't even think about going to law school in the fall. Retake, reapply, and get into much better schools with more money.
