I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but I looked around and couldn't find an answer. If someone points me to another thread where this was addressed, I promise to delete this thread immediately!!

I read on one of the stickied threads that AdComms lurk here, so I was wondering how safe it was to post a PS/DS and if doing so might negatively impact the poster in their applications. I would love to post my DS and PS for open critique from multiple people but don't want to hurt my chances in any way by doing so. Also, is posting and then later deleting any safer?

Edit: Would the swap thread be a better bet? Anyone want to share if they've had any luck there?

Yes, they do. I have read multiple pages of threads here of people doing so. People also cross the street without looking both ways. That doesn't make it a good idea.

I've also seen threads where people are, like me, cautious about posting publicly and ask for swaps instead, and yet other threads where after posting publicly, people subsequently delete their thread. So yeah, I assumed there was some reasoning behind that that maybe someone was willing to share that reasoning.

Sorry if you, and by their silence other board members, seem to think it's a dumb question. I prefer to look both ways a couple times before crossing.

It's whatever you're more comfortable with. I didn't show mine to anyone on TLS, just had family and friends review it for me

I don't feel comfortable posting mine on here. I've used the swapping thread and people tend to be quite responsive on there. PM it to someone. I'm willing to give it a look if you'd like. I might not get it back to you until tomorrow morning though.

Might not even be safe to share your PS/DS on here...
