To DS or not to DS?

My entire mom's side of the family is from El Salvador. Growing up, my mom taught my brothers and I a lot about the latin culture. Additionally, I studied in Costa Rica for a summer to learn Spanish and more about the culture.
In terms of affecting my views outside my personal life (e.g., how I treat my mother, how I want to raise my kids, etc.), I don't see a huge influence of the Latin Culture in my life. Further, I've read that law schools have a healthy amount of students from a Latin lineage, so it doesn't necessarily add to your application.
Should I go through and make a Diversity Statement?
