That sounds good to me. Its something that makes you stand out from the rest of the applicants which= diversity.

It sounds like you might be older than the traditonal student as well. It might not hurt to throw that in too.

EMZE wrote:Hey all,

I am looking to apply in '12, and am currently going through the process of being medically seperated from the military, anotherwards getting retired because of deployment related health issues that preclude me from future service.

Much of what I have to write a PS about is military focused but need not be about injuries. In fact having been in the military most of my adult life, I really wouldn't be able to write substantially on any other topic. My plan is to write a PS about military/leadership/afghan stuff, and a DS about what I am going through as a consequence (that I am proud of) of my service.

Does that sound copacetic?

-Yes.

Best, Dani

when you are writing your ps, use another word besides this one to convey the meaning of "ok"..and this applies for every other fancy word you plan on using....verbosity is usually not good for a ps

That sounds perfectly fine, if not great.

Yes. I wrote one just for being a veteran without the disability. Emphasize your maturity and unique experiences.

Actually, I was really just listening to Bound for the Floor by Local H, so thats the only reason I used copacetic... I guess as long as I avoid music with uncharacteristically elevated vocab I should be good. Thanks for that advice..

And I thought you were just quoting Fanboys.
