I think you should go for it. You may not personally be diverse, but you are living in unique (therefore diverse) family.
If you really feel as though having foreign-adopted siblings and going on mission trips etc. has added to your life, than you shouldn't worry about sounding insincere. Just try to stay away from cheesy cliches.
