Can anyone please look at this addendum and let me know if it sounds good? The schools say I have to explain what happened. Should I explain it in more detail or is this enough?

During my sophomore year, I was sanctioned by my university for consuming alcohol at an off-campus party while being under 21 years of age. I was placed on housing probation for the remainder of the academic year and was required to attend an alcohol screening meeting. I take full responsibility for my actions and have learned from my mistakes. I successfully abided by these sanctions and have had no such incidents since.

Also, do you think this will hurt my application?

I doubt this will be a big deal. You didn't even get a drinking ticket from the police. Even if you did, still not a big deal.

As far as the addendum goes, I would scrap that last sentence. It is not really necessary. Other than that, your addendum looks fine.

Great, thank you for the response and suggestion. I'll take out the last line- but I thought it would be good to include it to show "maturity" of some sort...
