Top Law Schools

Hello!

I currently have outlines/rough drafts for two potential personal statements.

In the 1st one, my anecdote shows some traits about me (resilience, overcoming adversity with a smile, aspirations, etc), but does not link to law school, or "why law" in general.

The 2nd draft has an anecdote about discrimination I experienced in the past, which makes it easier to tie to "why law."

Of the two ideas, does one carry an edge over the other for having/not having some connection to "why law?"
Basically, does it matter if there are no ties to law/why law in the PS?

Without knowing more details, it's hard to say one over the other, but the first one sounds really generic while the second one sounds more personal. Go with the one that's more personal. Again though, it's hard to give god advice without knowing more, so post the outlines here or PM me.
