Quick question, PS identifying multiple schools

If one is applying to only two schools and for a specific reason (e.g. each possesses one of the strongest IP law programs in the country), would the schools appreciate being identified (together) in the PS, or is this a faux pas? On the one hand it shows that the applicant has a clear goal and specific focus, but on the other hand, each school may not appreciate being identified alongside the other.

I wouldn't. Keep it focused only on the school you are applying to.
