I think your personal statement is very good. As an aside, our personal statements are almost identical. I too had an aversion to risk/fear of failing that greatly inhibited my growth and development, and it is the focus of my statement as well. So kudos to you my friend on getting past it: I know first hand how difficult it is.

Thank you! I actually just read your essay too... they are very similar! Wonder if we are going to be applying to the same schools... hm. haha. You did a great job with yours as well.
