diversity statement help.

Ok so I wrote down all the ideas that I want to write about on my diversity statement, about what makes me diverse when compared to the majority. I'm just wondering what should the diversity statement convey?

How you are diverse without sounding cliche, arrogant, ignorant, etc.

In as few words as possible, can you describe how you are diverse? That'll give us a better idea.
