what? so you essentially have written an essay to write about what you plan to write in your essay and want feedback?
you should just post the actual ps here.

It worked to an extent the last few times, in that the response was "Yeah, get rid of that." So if I don't get any "Yeah, get rid of that,"s, I figure it's probably worth a full essay attempt. I've had some REALLY bad ideas.

Sorry but I'm not feeling this idea too much. It's not a personal essay because it is more about politics, than about you. But it is also not a professional essay where you highlight 1 or 2 accomplishments and your qualities or maybe what led you to law, either. How about writing something more along why you are interested in environmental law etc (and you can bring in your history/politics background and what "qualities" you bring to LS like strong analytical skills etc etc..?
