Personal Statement Requirements

One of the schools that I'm applying to states the following in reference to personal statements:

"You are required to submit a personal statement. The personal statement should not exceed two typed pages. This statement will provide you the opportunity to blah blah blah..."

Anyway, my point is, there are no specifics regarding 12 pt font, double spaced, etc as many of the schools openly state.

I had my PS reviewed by a counselor at my school, and he advised me that I could probably get away with 11 pt font and 1.5 spacing. Do you guys agree with this? I'm not too concerned with the font size, but I'm not sure about the spacing. Does this school assume that 12pt double spaced is the norm?

Glad my school only requires a word count. I don't have to worry about font.

Ok, so it's a yes on the 11pt font. What is your opinion on the spacing?

I wouldn't do either of these. It's incredibly easy to tell when you change either of them, especially with dozens and dozens of other essays right next to yours. Edit your statement.

11 pt font is fine but I would not do 1.5 spacing (only double) and I would do no less than 1 inch margins
