Top Law Schools

I’m customizing the end of my personal statement for my top choice schools. I discuss what school-specific programs, journals, etc. I am interested in but also add that my fiancé is in a doctoral program in the city. Is this appropriate or too much information?

I don’t want to sound like I’m really only interested in the school because of her but I also think it might be helpful to show why it is one of my top choice schools.

The essay will go to two schools for which my GPA and LSAT fall above both medians and a safety school.

I do not think you should include it, it is largely irrelevant.

Usually you include something like that in a "why x statement" or in a LOCI if you get WL...

At the end of a PS.. depends how it's done I guess..?

It's definitely not TMI - adults have spouses and children etc that they need to consider when making decisions that affect 3 years of their life so it can't hurt to show a personal preference for that region/city.

I'm bumping because I would love to hear more thoughts on this topic.

It is appropriate to include briefly relevant immediate family considerations.
