Struggling with what i'm going to write my PS on...

Thinking about writing about this teacher i had in high school who really inspired me. He was a prominent nicaraguan political figure, taught me in spanish and latin american history, and i took two trips to nicaragua with him...

Is talking about a high school teacher who really made me feel passionate about something (even though it isnt really law-related) a bad idea?

This is not a bad PS topic if:

1) It can be used to clearly demonstrate qualities that would make you successful in LS
2) It can be connected with your more recent experiences in a meaningful way

Well, I'm planning on getting a LOR from a Lating american history professor i took 4 classes with in College, so perhaps that will show good continuity...

Yeah, i hear that---i was thinking more of writing about how the guy inspired me and then expanding into what ive pursued throughout college and why that makes me who i am and fit for LS blah blah blah
