Garamond 12 pt

I can fit like 1-2 lines more if I use Garamond 12 pt instead of Times New Roman 12 pt.
Is it okay to do this or just stick with the norm

Well some places specify that 11 pt. is fine.
Most places don't specify font, so garamond should be fine.

Most schools don't specify a font. I think you are fine, Garamond is not unprofessional.

SCOTUS requires Century font...
which is available in some form on MAC and PC.
