right now my PS is 2 pages with .9 margins and 1.95 spacing (12 pt. times new roman). is that ok for schools with a 2-page double-spaced limit?

sorry...i'm sure this has been asked a billion times.

From what I can tell, the moment you get too close to the bottom, the PDF generator just wraps it onto the next page. I had that problem with my resume, where the very bottom line (with 1 inch margins) was being moved to the next page, so I had to remove a line to make it stick. Someone could experiment and see if there's a hard margin on the generator that you just can't cross without going onto a new page.

.56 margins (which are the printable margins in Word) go three lines onto the next page, FYI.

OP, they will notice. Especially the spacing--if a school says double-spaced, I would definitely do actual double spacing. If a school doesn't specify margins, well, then it's up to you to decide what to do.

I agree that you should probably do real double spacing if the school tells you to. I haven't encountered any schools that give margin guidelines...anyone know of any? I've been making mine 1 inch, but I have one bottom margin at .95 to fit a Why X essay onto one page. I think your .9 should be fine
