You cannot reveal classified information, but you can write about its impact upon you.

If you are a talented writer then you can probably write it in a way without sounding "ridiculous". If you back it up will details, I don't think it will come off that way. I think it's a very unique situation and could be very interesting. No one else will be in a similar position.

On the other hand, If you have to ask, then you probably shouldn't. If you doubt the appropriateness of the subject matter, then it's likely at least one adcomm will as well. That's just a rule of thumb though.

I know that was conflicting and probably unhelpful. Just my thoughts.

Ditto, you'll never know until you try. Write it out, it sounds like it could be powerful.

I would be careful because of the recent WikiLeaks scandal and that Army PFC that got busted for releasing the information. Also, you could come off as anti-military or concentious objector (which I'm sure you're not). I don't know how adcomms would view it, but academia in general is somewhat left wing and I think this could be a dangerous topic. If you can write it out and make it detailed enough to make sense, but not release any classified details, it could work. Also, if you are no longer in the inactive reserves, and are completely done with your obligation, I don't even know if they can get you for the release of classified details. They tell us that if we even access WikiLeaks from our home computers we are "in receipt of classified information on an unclassified machine" and we would be subject to court martial, but I don't know how they would prove it on a personal computer.
