The "I was not prepared last year but I am this year"PS

Hi all,
I applied to the school I really wanted to last cycle naively: my GPA and LSAT were below their 25ths. Unsurprisingly, rejected. I've since raised my LSAT to be above their 75th, raised my GPA by .02 (yippee - I know), graduated and started my full time job as a paralegal, discovered TLS (and the realities of the legal market), etc etc.
They recommend that I write a new personal statement to go along with my new application (and even a new LOR if you can get one). I think I'm going to write about how I have matured/changed/how I'm ready for law school now. I'm going to try not to focus too much on the negative of the past, but instead hopefully highlight the improvements. I've got hands on experience with what lawyers do, sincerely reflected on my personal goals, and know how serious law school is.
If I can convey this, do you think there is potential in this personal statement?
Thanks for any help
