is this a DS?

So I just started thinking of my PS and DS and was wondering - Would working in the entertainment industry, including producing a bunch of commercials and a feature film, qualify as a DS? Or should I write that for my PS and concentrate on my heritage and such in my DS?
Thanks

Definitely doesn't sound like a DS to me. I would do the latter, heritage for DS. Make sure though that if you use that topic for a PS that you don't end up writing a glorified resume.

I read somewhere that DS is who you were and where you came from. PS is who you are and where you want to go. Make of it what you will. I thought it was interesting advice.

hmm what about a diversity statement about the impact of playing piano, the role it's played in my life, etc

Not a DS.
Sounds like a PS .
Can Asians write DS considering they are probably overrepresented in law schools (for example, if you read the TLS book, the PS on Korean American (wanting to be white but then finding herself) - could this be a DS? Or is it strictly PS? Havent looked at apps yet, but what is the diversity statement prompt? Just how you would contribute to the diversity of the school?

They are looking for affirmative action candidates, so center it on your heritage if you can.
