asking for PS tips

Hi, I am applying for cycle 2011, and am a phd candidate in chemistry，also I am a foreign student with chemistry and psychology undergraduate degrees. Shall I talk about the things I do in my phd study and how I succeeded in solving the problem? Is this a good selling point in my PS?
Any suggestions?

yes. If, for example, you want to do patent law, then this is a great idea and is something you could write about in a PS.
