Top Law Schools

Granted I am pretty much done with my cycle, I just wanted people thoughts on this book. I do like the examples and even got some ideas from them, but as far as the critiques/reviews of them in the book go what does the Harvard CRrimson (all UG students) know about Law school personal statements?

As far as critique goes. Well, dont take it as some sort of truth. They have good points and sometimes they highlight areas to which you would otherwise pay no attention.

They had to write personal statements for admission to undergrad and the two aren't that dramatically different.

They are though. Law school PS are suppose to tell them why are you a good candidate to become lawyer, or what you plan to bring to the school itself. UG PS you can write about anything. I wrote about how my group of friends isolated me junior year and how I overcame that. It doesn't show why I'd be a good UG candidate, it was just a compelling story. I had a friend who went to IVY league who wrote why he loved the number 3 for his UG PS. Really? Well he got into pretty much every school he applied. While they both are PS, Law schools and UG look for different things in PS.
