PS privacy?

Out of curiosity, why is it that a significant number of people are afraid of posting their PS and prefer the PM approach?
Adcomms do actually peruse these boards from time to time, or so legend has it. People don't want to identify themselves, lest they be tied to some incriminating statement.
It probably wouldn't affect most people, but the risk still exists.
