Hometown Story v. Rowing

Post by jlockhart6 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:59 pm

Okay, I am ranked sixth in my class right now at a tier 3. I want to transfer to a top law school, what personal statement topic would be more persuasive? Like others on here, I really want to shine through this statement.

Topic1: I analogize learning how to row (I was a rower in undergrad) to how to excell in law school...begins with a story of a race, moves on to discuss tangibles...

Topic2: I am the first in my family to go to college & law school, come from a town of 13,000 of which less than ten percent seek anything outside of a high school education, etc. Essentially beat the odds the whole way and now want to come to the top level to and continue to excell.

I know this are very brief and maybe not helpful, by I appreciate any advice you all may have.
