sent my app in december but went complete in feb i know i know very late i was a first time lsat taker in feb. i have a 3.1/156... i don't know what my shots are but its my top choice i loooovee that school lol..

how did you recieve your acceptance?

First by e-mail. Then in a big white packet.

I'm also on the waitlist, and it SUCKS because PSU is my first choice! Called up a few days ago and they said that they won't start reviewing the waitlist until April 11, when all the "accepteds" send in their deposits...though the letter I originally got from them said they'd start reviewing mid-March. I would call up and ask on the status of your application, when I called they said it was "under review" but maybe one of these days it will be "accepted!"

my greatest regret was that i didn't apply there.

i wish my numbers were good enough to apply late and still have a chance. but alas, i cannot afford to flush $60 down the toilet.

99.9% I will be:) Just got back from their scholarship dinner and open house in Carlisle...just have to flesh out a few more things before I write the big check so to say!

if you guys are going to the UP campus you'll love it. it's everything college is. granted law school is different but you'll have things to do during those breaks. plus you'll see me there .

I have decided on the University Park Campus. Coming from a big college town it feels more like home.

I picked carlisle...was there this weekend, and fell in love. Coming from a big state college, I need a change...not to mention I need FAR less distractions to keep me focused. Carlisle has 3 hoppin' bars packed with law school students every thursday, sure...it's not many, but...hey, it'll save me money! Haha

haha, well regardless i invite you and any of the carlisle campus students to make a trek up to UP for a game or just to see how the other half lives. camera adds 10 pounds anyway.

Got a letter Saturday saying that the number of accepted people actually accepting are higher than anticipated, and that they won't be going to the waitlist at this time, so I sent in the form they had attached saying I'd like to remain on the waitlist for as long as possible (I wasn't rejected, just told they have no space for me at this time)...did anyone else get this letter?

I got the evil letter in the email with this!!!:

"As is often the case when our anticipated class fills, and rather than have someone linger on a protracted waitlist, I offer a small number of candidates the opportunity to take a guaranteed seat as a full time student in a subsequent entering class, i.e. the Fall of 2009, by deferring their acceptance. Since we are extremely interested in your candidacy in recognition of your achievements and future accomplishments, if you elect to enroll in 2009, you will be awarded one of our prestigious Dean's Scholarships in the amount of $8,000."

Its like saying "hey u suck for 2008, but we like u for 2009" I AM NOT WAITING FOR THEM! They suck! and why are they telling to go on tthier waitlist when they're full?!?! they suck!

Oh man...I'm sorry to hear that:( I can't believe that their class is filled...especially since they take full size classes at each campus. I guess the new rankings really affected alot fo people (those trying to choose between Pitt and PSU, etc). I haven't even sent the deposit in yet...doing that first thing tomorrow (so...they better save room)!

LSATHater...what other schools have you gotten accepted to? I mean...PSU is offering you a pretty sweet deal if taking off a year could be an option. I guess what I'm saying is...don't settle for less because you're ready to go...but, if there's another great schools waiting for you this fall, by all means, go...but from the sounds of it, you really liked Penn State...

did you apply late lsat hater? in any case, i can't believe their waitlist has already hit its "max." what are your other schools and options right now? taking a year to work or travel some may not be all that bad. delayed gratification isn't something i myself should be preaching to anyone so i'll just leave it at that. best of luck with any choice you make.

i lovvveee penn! i really do and so far the other school i'm looking into is loyola in chicago which i have half a scholarship too. I can NOT and WILL NOT take the lsat again !!! I'm still waiting on FSU but if penn is showing no love i'm sure fsu will send an indian to shoot me with an arrow... i'm really stuck right now I work at a biglaw as the senior paralegal to a partner my job is really crazy so i was hoping to escape to law school I just really didn't want to postpone it another year and right now i'm really regretting not taking the december lsat, but shit happens.... WHAT DO I DO!??!?!
