I'm 5'3 and completely not afraid of this area at all but I have the advantage of knowing the city. Thus I can claim I'm unafraid but the reality is, I just know where its safe to be.
I suppose the Tower is on a relatively safe corner but, like the school itself it is on the border of some righteously sketchy areas. And for anyone who says the school itself is in a righteously sketchy area, I refer you to the corner of Eddy & Larkin.
