Yah me too. I left Houston at 80 and met snow in Ithaca a few hours later. But at least Sat and Sunday were pretty and snowy.

a) buy some ugg boots (i don't care if they are still "in style" or not--they are wonderfully warm!)reverie wrote:TLS party!!!

b) winter coat with a fleece lining & shell is probably best...then you can adjust for warmer/cooler days.
c) spandex is your friend, not only does it keep you warmer if you wear it under your jeans--but if you've got any jiggly spots it should smooth 'em out!
d) if you get a down comforter for your bed, you wont need to turn the heat up as much--and will save on heating!
all worthwhile investments for Ithaca if you ask me!

Ithaca has a regional airport right? Are the air tickets usually more expensive there?

I might be the only one who finds this exciting, but I wuv my aminals.
Pet Insurance
For the first time, Cornell will offer pet insurance, through Marsh@WorkSolutions, Cornell's broker for auto and home insurance. The pet insurance is described in the booklet, and greater details will be provided, April 21, on the Marsh@WorkSolutions web site at --LinkRemoved--.
This pet insurance covers dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets. Pet owners can choose to purchase one of several levels of coverage; each pet must be covered individually. There is no special open enrollment period for pet insurance: You can enroll your pet at any time, but pre-existing conditions are not covered, and medical underwriting is required, including answering medical questions, for each pet you would like to cover.
Like long-term care insurance, pet insurance works on a flat reimbursement schedule: You decide how much you are willing to pay and choose how much insurance coverage you will purchase. You are reimbursed up to that amount when you incur the expenses covered by the plan.
In addition to the Web pages and booklet, more information is available April 21 in 163 Day Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Representatives from CIGNA (life insurance), CNA (long-term care) and Marsh@WorkSolutions (pet insurance) will be available to discuss your options.

I agree. Cornell wouldn't be complete without Edgarderby.
If you're a Cornell adcom, please admit him. His resulting joy would be an inspiration to all members of the class of 2011, and would result in an overall higher work-ethic.

It's relatively cheap (I can get a 3BR for what I'm paying now), and the paint is peeling on nearly everything. HTH.Sunking1456 wrote:What is everyone thinking about housing?
