It was sooo cool.

I also drove all around the fingerlakes area today and met some interesting characters and bought a massive amount of really good corn and blueberries. It's so pretty here right now.
Wow, great bat picture. I love bats!

Hey I remembered you when I posted that. I looked it up and given its size color, and wingshape, I'm pretty sure it was a "Big Brown Bat". THe only other really large bat around here didn't match the description. Anyway, it's an insectivore, but it had some serious fangs on it. It was amazing.

Yay for being all moved in. So who all is going to what tomorrow? I'm confused as to whether the things I get out of the way tomorrow I dont have to do Tues/WEd.

Does anyone have any info on our fitness center memberships? I know I signed up for it, but I haven't received anything yet.

The only required thing tomorrow is the Computer orientation thing at 2-3. You just have to attend one at some point, and they'll have another one tuesday. There're a few tours and stuff, too, but you don't need to attend them. There's a pizza thing in the eve.

I'm just going to do my computer orientation thing on Tues when I'm on campus anyway.

I might do the tour at 11:00 just because I still don't know my way around that building, and then get the computer thing out of the way after that.

And then of course there's the free pizza in the evening. Can't miss that!

I figure I'll do some of the things tomorrow simply because I have nothing better to do tomorrow anyways.

I was thinking of doing the tour tomorrow so I don't feel so lost on Tuesday, but then again, I might just get lazy and enjoy my last day of absolute freedom.

On the subject of bats, I've been in Ithaca for 3 weeks and I've had 3 bats, including one tonight. I've heard that they are more afraid of us then we are of them, but i would like to disagree.

They do often carry rabies so be careful! They won't want to attack you or anything but if they get stuck in your apt and they get scared they might land on you and bite.

If you signed up for the gym membership, it should just work. The membership is attached to your ID card, so you just swipe in whenever you feel like hitting the treadmill. I went with a couple friends to the gym over the weekend, we didn't have any problems. The closest gym to the law school is Noyes, it's nice but maybe a little on the small side? It fills up pretty quickly with undergrads during spring semester. All the fitness classes are free w/ your membership, so you can just walk right in to a spinning (apparently the most popular), yoga, or kickboxing class. There's a whole list at fitness.cornell.edu

How come I haven't met neskerdoo? joonbug and kn seem like awesome down-to-earth people btw, from what i could tell given our 5-minute meetup. =)

Some great lightning out there tonight, seriously.

Now if only the thunder would drown out my neighbor's obscenely loud voice.

I went today.... did another tour (but this one included some library info) and then got shut out of a computer session because the seats were full... then I toured the place again with my locker pal, and then went to another session that I didn't get to do because apparently I was supposed to bring my computer...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
