Whew, I just flew back from Prague...and boy are my wings tired. Ba-dum-dum-ching. I'll try to Facebook some pictures by mid-week - including a couple of fun aerial shots from 36,000 over the coast of Greenland. We didn't see a whole lot of green land in Greenland. None, to be precise. Maybe we were distracted by the chunks of ice clearly visible from 6.8 miles above ocean's surface.

I would be in. I have always wanted my own reality show. I wonder if they would give me a theme song too.CaptainDirtyBird wrote:This is the best idea I have had since I quit using psychadelic drugs:gladiator wrote:http://www.dailyprogress.com/cdp/news/l ... ium/23625/
Coming to a stadium near you...
If CBS will pay 2.4 million for a damn widescreen and a puny extension on the athletics conract...What do you think Fox would pay for a show about the scandalous lives of 1L students and the academical and social hijinx they find themselves in on thier path to becoming corporate slaves. I bet full rides for all of us in exchange for a little self-respects and dignity.
Whose going to make some bad decisions with me...
Nipple, Glad, Jrod, and Bilko I know y'all are in. What say you grey, doublehoo, and wes and khordis.
As for the lovely ladies: you have to come becuase without you we def won't be able to sell this to the network.
Also, in response to the earlier posts about class sections: Would you rather play in the Southern Conference or the SEC...my ideas of fair involve sections which yield as close a possible rankings as what would happen if we were all one section.

For sure. I was going to go to Dover for my first race, but the weather didn't look like it would hold. I've held out against nascar long enough. it is time to embrace it.

Yes, but the ice was shrinking. And you could hear it screaming...kinda like the sound effects in Final Fantasy VII, when Cloud is listening to the planet's wails in the observatory.J-Rod wrote:can still see the ice from that high huh? . . . and people still believe Al Gore!

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
An answer I got from a rising 2L about sections and the schedule....
"You don't find out your section until August I believe. I think they are probably waiting to figure out who will be attending UVA for sure, since there are waitlists and etc.
As far as the schedule is concerned, the new one should be up tomorrow (Tuesday). Yes, there are some classes that are listed to meet 5 days a week (like Crim section B,G for instance) but in reality you will only meet 3 times a week- that professor says that he has flexible schedule so he wants to have some freedom in selecting when to have classes... I'm sure all the other classes should be the same way. As far as Fridays- i guess that depends on how lucky you'll get. I personally had classes on Fri both semesters, but what can you do... "
So it appears those classes that are listed to meet all 5 days will only meet 3 times but I guess you won't find out until the professor lets you know. Unfortunately, looks like we'll be waiting a while to find out which section we're in though. I guess now that there's no horrible section, it's not as urgent.

Dear Friends,
I have withdrawn from this beloved University and this beloved thread. Your avatars will be missed. I'm glad none of you are rooming with me, or else I'd feel really bad. Have a good year/life/internet. I look forward to a couple of years from now looking at my friends list on facebook and wondering where the hell I met so many kids that went to Virginia. Then I'll remember...and smile.
Yours Forever,

My sister has an extra copy of office for mac and I wanted the free Ipod. I saved a little over $300 by buying it straight through apple. I still have applecare, so the only difference will be the loaner and I'm not too worried about that.So you didn't buy it through Cavalier Computers then?

Gchat anyone? Ubuntu is leaving for South America soon and I need a source of entertainment at work. Look up my sn before @virginia.edu on the UVA directory.

Gladiator, I'm either failing miserably at following your directions or your listing is highly classified.
I'm forwarding all my school email to my personal Gmail...it has that great feature that lets me send email from any of four (right now) email addresses (including those @virginia.edu ones). I'll PM you my email addy, if you like.

1. http://www.virginia.edu
2. Search for (my real name) under people in the directory.
3. My Gchat sn is the 5 letter/number combo before @virginia.edu in my email.
....You can PM me too if necessary, I just didn't want to post my real name or screen name in public here.
