yeah, i remember him from Cars, but it just seemed like impeccable timing considering the tourney. It's the Italian kid (Luigi? Guido?) from the Disney-Pixar movie Cars. Maybe he's a mascot for Euro2008?

Re: University of Virginia School of Law 2011
My Mom is 100% German, and my Dad is half German, so I have a primarily German heritage. Plus, when I was a little kid, my German relatives (the ones who still live in Germany) visited during the World Cup and Germany won, and it was just a really fun, exciting time. So it's stuck with me ever sincetkm. wrote:why German?sialeeds wrote:<<< rabid German soccer fan.

Haha, a bit of an oxymoron given that Italy beat Germany last World Cup (boo... a complete travesty) and the Netherlands just clobbered Italy in the Eurocup My second favorite team is probably France, mostly because I like their jerseys, and I will forever love them for taking down Brazil in the most beautiful way possible. I also like Portugal because Christiano Ronaldo is fun to watch (for more reasons than one... )satchelGD wrote:im a big german/italian/dutch fan... german and italian because thats my heritage, dutch because those orange and black uni's are so classy.

Yeah, it's weird but when that's your heritage, that's your heritage. Although I'm Northern Italian so I just look German, anyway.Haha, a bit of an oxymoron given that Italy beat Germany last World Cup (boo... a complete travesty) and the Netherlands just clobbered Italy in the Eurocup My second favorite team is probably France, mostly because I like their jerseys, and I will forever love them for taking down Brazil in the most beautiful way possible. Portugal looked good today.

I secretly root for the Scottish during Six Nations. They're not very good, but it's my heritage.
Although I do root for France and Ireland before Scotland for lots of reasons. One being Ronan O'Gara.

the avatar is indeed guido, it's to celebrate the euro cup in a cute manner. i don't particularly care who wins, ie not supporting the italians. i like to see good football and watching netherland dominate was impressive.
random q: which colognes/fragrances do people here wear?
i found myself picking up the new usher for men today.
the only other cologne i have is Truth for men by CK.

I usually wear gardenia or vanilla fragrances. If I'm feeling frisky I rub in some coconut body oil.

I gently sponge myself with a shirt soaked in the previous day's sweat. And I have some sort of body spray for formal occasions.

yeah, it's been discontinued . . . which is very disappointing . . . so a woman that comes along wearing it just might win my heart . . .
also, someone is offering to sell me a set of Golden Bear golf clubs . . . complete set and bag, used for 3 months, for $130, is that a good deal? I don't play golf, but want to take it up, so I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on a set of clubs

Steel or Graphite?
You should probably start with graphite. And that deal doesn't sound too bad for someone starting out. If you actually like playing, then you can throw down for a better set.
Get some quick though so we can play when we move down!

germany went down 2-1 in euro cup. the germans weren't sharp all game, rather lethargic...

I'm a mini-golf fiend and I'm always down for a game of putt-putt. Actual golf is something I know nothing about, but I'd happily join a group of beginners to learn!

not bad!
best mini-golf course i've played is about 45 min from my house. nasty sand and water traps. basically at every hole you have a 35% chance of ball going into the water (you can retrieve it, but such a pain). talk about a challenging course. I believe every hole was par 4-5 or more.
