No, I am not a project. Countless girls have tried to get me to dress better . . . at first I tried, but now I just refuse on principle.
Although, when it comes to professional dress, I dress extremely well.

I've never had a problem, but I don't look good in their pants anyway, so I only get their shirts/sweaters and skirts/dresses. Also shorts. And oh yeah, accessoriescantwaitforuva wrote:At least you can get short or petite in pantsbamabreeze wrote:I also think J.Crew designs their clothes for women who are 5'6" or taller

I agree with this. I have 9 years of accquired 'preppy' cothing. Some of my wardrobe is so out of date it's back in style. That said, I wear Lacoste polos with Sean John jeans. It's not like I don't know what I'm doing, I just choose not to give a shit what people think about it.J-Rod wrote:Holly Madison wrote:oooh! project!J-Rod wrote:you'll probably all seem me in some shorts, black and white chucks, crooked baseball cap, and misc. t-shirts . . . haha same. Last night I bought 2 pairs of red shoes online. I'm going to see which one I like better and send the other one back. If they get here ontime I'll probably wear them on friday.Holly Madison wrote:you guys are making me want to shop SO bad. i think i'm going to after work!!! i wish i could shop online, but i really need to try everything on.

Re: UVA Class of 2011 Housing Thread
from what i've heard not much. There's more than one mall, so maybe you have ended up at the bad one.bamabreeze wrote:Speaking of shopping, what exactly do we have in Charlottesville??? (Bringing this thread back to UVA, haha) I've been to the mall like once and I feel like it was super sketch, but that was years ago... anyone know??
Here's what the website lists: Talbots, Ann Taylor, Beecroft & Bull, Old Navy, and Banana Republic, Belk, Sears, JC Penney. Waldenbooks, Sam Goody. Ann Taylor, the Gap & GapKids, Express, Lane Bryant, Legends, Lerner New York, Eddie Bauer, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, J. Crew, and Victoria's Secret for clothes. Foot Locker & Nine West Shoes.
We won't have a lot of options. I guess it will help me save money. Or we could do weekends in NYC!

Still pretty bad. Barely any shoe options and I think I might die if there isn't a macy's/nordstrom nearyby - I love their shoe sections and they're the only place I buy bras. But there are lingerie boutiques.bamabreeze wrote:Thank god, the mall is not entirely unfortunate

Oh Tysons II, how I will miss you...
But it's only 2 hours away from UVA and 5 minutes from my house back home! I can function with just a J Crew nearby.

Belks is sort of like Macy's... why did they have to buy Parisian's though? Parisian's was like Nordstromcantwaitforuva wrote:I think I might die if there isn't a macy's/nordstrom nearyby - I love their shoe sections and they're the only place I buy bras.

HAHA. my googling turned up what is c-ville's only adult store: ultimate bliss. Apparently it's near the KFC.
It would be a bit strange shopping there and running into someone you know - no secrets in small towns.

We could always hit up richmond. It's only an hour away. Has some more of the basics like nordstrom, etc.
