We should also put more pressure on lurkers to come out of hiding.
Come on, lurkers, we promise not to bite...

Really? I was going more for Austin Powers-esque goofiness. But if it came off instead as Hannibal Lecter-esque creepiness... I'll take it, I guess. Whatever gets those lurkers out of hiding...ubuntu wrote:uhh i just found this thread and, while not a member of the class of 2011 (yet? hopefully? please? On all of your financial aid status pages, does it say "not yet" next to "FAFSA Needs Analysis Received:"?
I submitted my FAFSA a long time ago so it should be received assuming they've updated that for anyone yet.

Re: UVA Class of 2011 Housing Thread
How much is rent at these places? They look pretty sick so I'm guessing high even for C-ville.J-Rod wrote:So would anyone be interested in a 3 bedroom in The Woodlands? or a 2 bedroom at the Grand Marc?

the rent isn't bad at all if you're sharing. a 3 bedroom at the woodlands is $1600-1700, so each person only pays about $550 a month.Bun B wrote:How much is rent at these places? a 2 bedroom at the grand marc is $750-ish for each roommate.
if you want your own place though, then i think these places are too expensive.

Including all utilities and parking, the Grand Marc is about $850-900/mo, The Woodlands would probably be around $700/month for a 3br/3ba townhouse

I'd pour out some of the scotch for you that I'm currently drinking, but it ain't exactly Dewar's.
I will, however, save you a nice double for pre-orienation.
