They are decent. I was actually going to live there next year but found something that is a little bit cheaper and is available a sooner. The pros: the bedroom is relatively big and has a large walk-in closet, the neighborhood is quiet and would be an easy place to study, the grounds are kept up nicely, nice balcony, and no more than 8 minutes from downtown (grad. school student hang out). The Cons: kitchen could stand to be updated, about 15-20 minutes to the law school (after driving, parking, etc.) It is worth a visit to see if you would like living there in my opinion. I believe cantwait toured also.
Where are you going to be living and when are you moving in?

I am not absolutely sure, but I think I am going for an apartment in a complex called Turtle Creek. It is off Hydraulic and pretty close to the law school. If I take the apartment, I will move in anytime in June.

This is sooo weird. Can someone explain that to me? I've talked to 4 people who got into great T-14 schools but were waiting on or waitlisted by UCLA. I got in there right away with good but not great numbers and a good scholarship and I'm out of state. And I basically have no soft factors. Is UCLA just a crap shoot?

see facebook.

I think I'm going to fail out and if that is the case, it's not worthwhile to waste that much money

We can be study-buddies! You're not going to fail out, I promise. Don't get down already... law school hasn't even started yet!

I feel like our numbers are dwindling. Who is 100% committed to UVA, like me? I'm curious at this point :?

Sounds good. Can we do some hiking, too? And by hiking I mean walking where there are trees. :D

You will NOT fail out. I'll help all I can - fingers crossed we're in the same section. I'll certainly help with outlining if you want.

Don't get down on yourself. If you weren't smart enough to succeed at UVA they wouldn't have accepted you!

If you withdraw from Chicago and Harvard, it might sway my decision. :)

I'm definitely leaning UVa but I'm going to have convince myself that I'm willing to flush the 80K down the toilet and that I'll be better off in the short run and long run.

Here are some photos (the moutain ones, not the whales  ): http://images.google.com/images?sourcei ... hotos&um=1

Given our numbers there's a good chance you'll be in a section with at least one TLSer

I'm not sure. I guess Princeton, NY, DC, or Atlanta....but California would be fine other than being so far away from all my friends and family.

waitlists suck. I feel SO much better knowing for SURE what I'm doing next year. Also lets me make plans and stuff and make sure I get a decent place to live.
Some of my schools kept me waiting 'til really late, too, and at that point, I was just like "you know what, at this point, I can't seriously consider this place." it's just extra stress. :P

looking forward to study groups! I never had ANY in undergrad. it will be a nice change, I think.

i rarely did study groups in college, cuz it amounted to hours of socializing, capped with drinkfest...

i think i'll be using the library more the next 3 years (today i studied one last time there and got so much more done)

it definitely feels awesome knowing for certain where i'll be. i don't have to be that guy in the circle talking w/ professors, saying i'm undecided, etc.

Go to UVA then.

Trust me, being far from family is hard. My parents and sister live in the West Coast and I only see them 2x per year - Christmas and a week or two in the Summer.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
