Unless you live extravagantly you can borrow enough through Stafford and Grad Plus to get you through three years of law school.

Depending on how much time you have you can usually get some contract work in 2L and 3L. Several of my classmates clerked 3L even though they were fulltime ( I was part-time and clerked as well). Your CSO office will probably have listing for firms looking for PT or FT clerking from law students. Also you can contract with solo or small firms to do stuff like legal research, write memos, briefs etc. Going rate around here for a law clerk is $20-25 an hour for most positions. You can also work at the law school like in the library, I had a classmate who did that and said it was pretty cushy as no one ever asked about books anymore since we all had lexis/westlaw, he just did his reading most of the time (although that might be reserved for “work study” not sure, but I think it was like $12 an hour)

Research Assistant -- the going rate is $12-15/hr. if you don't do it for credit. This also helps for clerkship applications (faculty recommendation) and looks nice on your resume. I was an RA over 1L summer for extra $$ and will probably pick it up again after the craziness of 2L Fall subsides.

If you did well on the LSAT and you go to law school on the same campus as an undergrad, you could tutor the LSAT and charge $20-40/hr.

There are lots of ways to earn money at spare time without affecting your studying activities. I think without wasting your time, i would suggest reading a blog post
college students to do online jobs in order to get some ideas and suggestions.
