Can I get something out of ED?

I go to the University of Toronto (UofT) and I have a 3.63, a 180 and I am an URM.
My GPA is far lower than the 25th percentile for the T14s because, in first year, my mum was sick so I travelled back and forth between home and school to take care of her and my younger siblings. After that, I transferred to UofT and I maintained a 3.82 since then. I plan to write an addendum but I understand that isn’t really something to rely on. The thing is, I really want to go to a T14 and pursue immigration lawyer. When I was younger, my family and I were deported from England and I had to watch my mum fight against their legal system to keep us in the country. This has pushed me to becoming an immigration lawyer so I can be the person my mum would have needed. My ECs all reflect that and I’ve made sure to build a very cohesive and strong application. But I am really worried about my GPA so I have been looking at applying through Early Decision to give my application push.
Currently my number 1 school is NYU because I saw that they’re well known for immigration law. I know that using ED basically means forfeiting my chance at scholarship and I am okay with taking on that debt for my goals. But I would like to know if anyone thinks my application could get some scholarship towards tuition so I can plan accordingly over the next 2 years before law school.
