International Financial Aid

Hey everyone,

I'll be applying to Law School this coming year with a 3.92 cumulative GPA and a 174 LSAT.

I am a Canadian, and am interested in any of the T-14, but would love to go to one of the Top 6 with a good amount of money. I was wondering:

1. Which of the T-14 offers financial aid to internationals (whether need based or scholarship based)?

2. Based on my stats, which schools will I likely get the most $$$ from? Also, I come from a low income family that lives beneath the poverty line for my province, if that matters in determining how "low income" I am.

With my stats, I'm not holding my breath for HYS, I understand my best shot would be H, but I am by no means a sure thing. I am hoping to get into at least one of Columbia, Penn, NYU, or Chicago, and will likely go to which ever one I can afford the most lol.

Thanks!

Canadian lurker here,

1. We are treated the same as domestic applicants because we have GPAs (unlike other internationals). However, we are prone to slightly more yield-protection since we tend to have superior options especially if we do not swing a big scholarship or HYS.

2. MyLSN. Low income is largely irrelevant except for HYS (only need-based aid) or special scholarships like Anbryce. Non-HYS money is almost always merit-based. But you have spectacular numbers, so no worries there.
