Has anyone who was previously ineligible in UG for need based aid been successful in receiving aid after filling out the Need Access form?

Thanks for the reply. Trying to determine the purpose of asking for parental info. In UG, I was always denied because they said my parents made too much money. I figured after graduating and being responsible for my own finances, I would no longer have to provide that information on forms. I don't see how the outcome would be any different than it was in UG if that is still a consideration.lymenheimer wrote:I only got need stuff in UG freshman year. Depends on what school. ie. Duke says they use the interviews to gauge how much parental involvement will occur and that you can still qualify for need-based scholarship even if you didn't during undergrad. I realize that some may say one thing and do the other, but until proven otherwise, there's no sense in disregarding their words. I think the main thing that promotes the use of need access and attempting to get need-aid is that it's institutional aid not federal aid (like pell-grants, etc). So their calculations are likely different.Scalvert wrote:Thanks for the reply. Trying to determine the purpose of asking for parental info.
