Accepted off WL. Can I use this to negotiate at a lower ranked school?

There's also the issue that I only have a few days to accept the WL offer.

I think it is quite difficult to negotiate with a particular school based on a mere acceptance to a higher ranked school. Usually an actual scholarship is required. And this is compounded by the fact that it is so late in the game, because the schools with whom you seek to negotiate likely do not have any money left to give you.

I'd be careful with how you go about this. This is purely speculative, but I'm sure the lower ranked school won't care much if they lose you to the higher ranked school. They can just pick someone else up off their waitlist, and they likely won't give them as much $$$ as they gave you or maybe just none at all. So from the lower ranked school's point of view, they may just end up getting more $$$ if you do leave.
Edit: Just checked your posts and saw you got into NYU. Seriously man, if it's not a financial burden for you just take it and run with it. A T6 will definitely pay itself off in the long-run anyway. Also, I will say that I negotiated money from the higher school I got off the waitlist at with the lower school's previous offer. Maybe that's something you can look into too? Good luck, and congratulations! Hope it all works out for the best!

I agree with noodles. See if the WL school will give you more $ somehow to match your planned school. If they don't budge go with your gut between these 2 T6s.
