Just fyi getting residency in Virginia is nearly impossible if you aren't truly from Virginia. I know people whose whole family moved to VA two years before he/she went to college at UVA and still had to fight to get residency and actually didn't the 1st year... American: 165k (I have somewhere to stay virtually rent-free in DC. W/o rent, I estimate it would be 125k ish)

How should I go about trying to get a bit more from Richmond? Thanks in advance.
