I was wondering if anyone has had luck getting a small merit offer from a school they were below on one or both medians? If you have could you PM me with the details and strategy?

I was a super splitter (high LSAT/low GPA) and received around 10-15k a year from every lower T14 that accepted me, including Michigan. I asked for more money from all of them and completed all of the supplemental essays, but wasn't granted any additional scholarship money.

I've gotten $120k+ at two T20s with a sub-3.0 GPA. At least earlier in the cycle, this year was very generous to 170+ splitters.

Keep in mind though that a splitter (high LSAT low GPA) is harder to come by than a reverse splitter (low LSAT high GPA). So the above two examples don't really apply in your situation.
You can always play around on mylsn.info and see what you pull up.

While I'm not here to argue whether sticker is worth it or not, I don't really see how 5-10k/yr makes borrowing that much more feasible.
ETA: also Cambridge is great, but it's not going to get you biglaw from BC or ND if you don't have the grades.

While I appreciate the responses, I don't think they really addressed my question, but hopefully they will inspire some splitters to pursue more money. And I will check out LSN -- I guess that was one helpful response.

I have very similar stats to you and was originally offered nothing from Michigan. I then told them about other offers I had, one of which was from ND, and they said I would get at least 10K/year based on that. (to be honest I have not done the official appeal yet b/c I'm still waiting on small chance of money from other T14 schools to use as leverage, but this is what they said.) So yes, I think there is hope you can get at least 10K from the schools you are talking about.

Retake, don't waste that GPA
Also, your confidence isn't worth a whole lot, more likely than not you'll still get styled upon by K-JDs with lower numbers who are just better at law school. Being good at law school isn't a skill that you can reliably predict going in because it's just kind of it's own beast. There wouldn't be a large margin for error at a school like ND. Maybe you'll be great at it, who knows, but having advanced degrees doesn't guarantee anything, believe me.
