FAFSA before application?

Hey guys, I have a question. I've looked around but can't seem to find anything about it.
I have not sent in any applications yet, I'm getting ready to send them out this week. However, I went ahead and filled out the FAFSA a few days ago, and had the information sent to the schools I intend to apply to. Can you send FAFSA information to a school before you even send them your application? Or will this mess anything up? Just making sure they won't disregard the information or something, as I know most aid is awarded on a "first come, first serve" basis. Or will I need to do something again after they get my apps?
