172 LSAT 3.84 GPA Scholarship Expectations?

I've been using mylsn.info a lot but it seems pretty shoddy for trying to figure out scholly money.

Anyone have some insight as to where I could expect a full tuition scholarship in the T14 with these stats? Anywhere?

A FULL TUITION scholarship in the T14 is a lot to expect. I don't feel like you would be able to expect that from anywhere in the T14. It's possible that you could get one at the lower T14 of course, but to expect that would be pretty aggressive. Your best shot at a full scholly would be ED at Northwestern I would bet. You will likely get some money at CCN and significant money from the lower T14s that you're admitted to. I imagine that your offers in T14 would average around $90K and probably a high of around $120K. Which is a lot of money but not a full-ride.

Out of curiosity, what does it take to get full tuition at a lower T14?

A full scholarship somewhere like UVA is not unreasonable at all with those numbers

If you apply to most of the T14 and negotiate your scholarships, you might be able to get close to full ride somewhere in the lower T14. It's very hard to predict where because scholarships are much more of a blackbox. I EDed NU last cycle and I wouldn't say that's your best or only shot at a big scholarship because you're over both medians (and in some cases both 75ths) at all of the lower T14.

Even if you are from out of state? I ask because I have similar, albeit slightly less impressive numbers (my LSAT is slightly higher, but my GPA is only a 3.66 and below T-14 medians).

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll just have to wait and see, I'm retaking in June anyway so hopefully I'll bump that up to a 175+

This guy has pretty much that same numbers as you (172/3.88) and he got a full-ride at UVA this cycle: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ruhavingalaugh

Idk if you should count on getting a full-ride, but there's definitely a decent chance.

The difference between that guy and the OP is that the OP has a below median GPA for UVA. UVA's GPA median is 3.85.

I had 174 and 3.78, and got full tuition at Northwestern and Cornell. Half at the rest.

Any updates? Unfortunately I'm in a situation where I can only go to schools that offer me full or close to full.

Yeah OP please update us when you find out more. I'm also in a situation where I'll only go to law school if I get a full ride at a T20 or a half scholly at a T6.

Won't be applying until next cycle but I'll be sure to update this thread then.
