Assuming you mean scholarship, there's really no difference between asking them to increase scholarship to track tuition and just asking them for a bigger scholarship. Tuition is going to go up for everyone, so this neither advances nor detracts from your bargaining position. If they weren't going to give you money, they won't change their minds because you tell them your tuition will go up. If they do decide to increase your scholarship, they would've done it for any other reason as well.

But even assuming someone gets a full scholarship from the get-go, do schools increase it as tuition rises? Or am I asking a pointless question?

ETA: I've already asked for an increase, and they gave me an extra $15,000.
Full scholarships are just that. They increase with tuition. Scholarships with a specific dollar amount don't. Didn't you get a letter that showed you how much you'd get each year?

You could ask them to write up your scholarship as a percentage instead of a dollar figure. That would help keep rising tuition in check.
