I submitted my intent to enroll and deposit at NYU at basically the last possible minute on the last possible day, May 2... it was a tough choice! Because of the rushed situation, I didn't pay close attention and assumed that submitting my intent meant I had accepted my financial award. I got an automated email this morning (May 3) with the following terrifying message: "To date, you have not actively accepted or declined your NYU School of Law financial aid package. Your award offer has now expired."

It's a Saturday, so I can't call the financial aid office and ask/beg/cry to fix this for another two days. "Expired" sounds irreversible to me, but I don't want to be over-dramatic -- maybe they will work with me and reinstate the aid? Does anyone know if this is an easy fix on Monday, or if I've royally screwed myself?

Send an email today, leave a voicemail, and obviously call and follow up on Monday

Did your financial aid include need-based aid or a merit scholarship? If neither, then I can't see this being a problem. If it did, I'd send an immediate email and leave a voicemail. Hopefully, they receive your message before considering admitting someone off the waitlist.

This happened to another poster and he was able to get his offer back after contacting them.
