UCLA Negotiation

Anyone have any success negotiating with UCLA? I am trying to decide if I should wait for Texas to give me a scholarship offer or just use offers I already have.

I have full rides at some Regional Schools ranked in the 30's
75k at WUSTL and USC, UC Irvine
Those are the only ones I think UCLA would Care about.

I have only 45k at UCLA so I really want more money out of them to make it feasible.

Most likely, you won't be getting more money from them with those offers. Their tuition is significantly lower than those schools, and they will point that out to you. I also got 50k MORE at USC than UCLA.... its the nature of the public school beast.

They will match t-15, NOT t-30.

They were not receptive to my texas or usc offers. Usc offer was almost double; they didnt budge. Could have just been me though.. Good luck.

I think it depends. What are your GPA/LSAT stats?

My stats: 3.86/169

UCLA originally offered me $14,600 in need based aid and $20,000/yr in merit aid. I negotiated with a full tuition offer from WUSL and UCLA increased it to $25,000/yr. I doubt I can get any more out of them. USC also offered me $40,000/yr but UCLA doesn't care about that for some reason. Also, UCLA wanted to interview me via Skype before reconsidering me for more merit money. I don't know if this happened to you ladies and gents as well.
