Quick Q: does anyone know when/how NYU will send out financial aid and scholarship to admitted students? I was admitted mid-Jan and submitted the financial aid forms but heard nothing about $$ since.
I didn't write any of the optional scholarship essays. Does that mean no scholarship from NYU?
Thank you~

NYU automatically considers all applicants for merit and need based aid when you submit your FAFSA and Need Access, unless you opt out of need aid consideration. Status tracker is
https://faaps.law.nyu.edu/studentmain.html.

Thank you so much for the info! My status is "currently under review" I guess I'll just wait.

I think you need to submit FAFSA if you are citizen or permanent resident

if you really don't want to fill out the FAFSA, you can ask to apply for merit-only. I did, but I wish I had applied for need & merit instead. It's only a little work and they could send you a few bucks, who knows?
