Perhaps a stupid question about FAFSA

I went to fill out my FAFSA form but have not yet filed my taxes for 2013... do I need to wait until April then?

Estimate, submit, and revise after you have done your taxes.

Or, just do your taxes now.

You might as well do your taxes. It's only a month ahead of time.
