Will this cause problems for my FAFSA? It asks for my income and it also asks if I will be filing taxes. Providing an income and saying I won't file taxes seems like it would raise a red flag.
Why don't you owe taxes? Even if you don't owe anything, you can always file a return that shows you owe zero. I recall sometimes undergrads asked for copies of tax returns to verify amounts. Now FAFSA can just pull amounts from your return. At least my sister said she was doing that.
I don't know if law schools ask for it. My view is that it may be easier to just file. You might need it.
