Many students are able to negotiate scholarships after grades come out. I don't know how it works with ED'ing somewhere because most of the time you'll want an acceptance in-hand when you come to the table. If you ED does that mean your obligated to go to Chicago or just that if you transfer it has to be there? Not familiar with it.
