How do you apply for scholarships at T14?
When you submit your applications online through LSAC, how do you apply for scholarships? I often hear of people on TLS saying getting $$ from this and that school. I assume that’s not just a letter offering money after gaining initial acceptance from the school. What’s the procedure to take to get scholarship money?

It's mostly just a letter offering money after initial acceptance actually. Some schools have need-based applications they ask you to fill out.

So the applicant didn't technically even have to apply for the scholarships? If the top school wants the applicant, it will take the initiative to offer money upon acceptance?

There are some scholarships that you have to apply for separately and some schools that will ask you to fill out some financial forms, as well as get some financial info from your parents. But yes, the vast majority just offer scholarships if they want you to go there.megaragirl wrote:So the applicant didn't technically even have to apply for the scholarships? Northwestern has a brief form and a couple of short essay questions. Plus FAFSA and NeedAccess. But you don't have to have those done with your application; they come a bit later.

As you can probably figure out, since most don't require any extra application materials for the scholarship money, it's pretty much all based on your numbers.
